Welcome
Our mission is to provide guests with an excellent dining experience so they choose to come back time and again—and spread the word about our wonderful food, staff and atmosphere!
When you eat at Picoso’s, we aim to exemplify our core values of integrity, excellence, stewardship, hospitality and growth. Read more on the Careers page about how each of these values is upheld through our daily interactions and visionary, thoughtful planning.
Our Story
Owners Heather and Jeremy grew up in the restaurant industry, and their passion for hospitality and service is evident from the moment you meet them.
Growing up in the Leal’s family business, Heather has countless memories of working alongside her family as a young girl. Food and hospitality helped define her understanding of what it means to truly care for others.
For more than 20 years, Heather and Jeremy have owned and operated Leal’s Mexican Restaurant in Plainview. In 2014, they purchased the Fieldhouse Sandwich Shop, a Plainview staple for more than 34 years. Now Heather and Jeremy are excited to put down roots in Lubbock with the opening of their first “from the ground up” restaurant, Picoso’s Mexican Kitchen, where they can proudly serve their friends and community.
Above all else, Heather and Jeremy care deeply about the people who surround them, and have dedicated themselves to being a positive fixture in their lives. At Picoso’s Mexican Kitchen, you’re family.
